Perinatal Veteran Wellness Initiative

The Perinatal Veteran Wellness Initiative exists because our military families deserve holistic support and wellness care that encompasses and acknowledges the intricacies and stressors of simultaneously building a new life and protecting the lives of our country's members.

 

The elevated and documented levels of trauma for women in the military puts our female service members at much higher risk of self-harm — and this includes military spouses. The ripple effect to our military families cannot be ignored.

 

This risk is not only elevated. It is documented, underserved, and largely invisible to the systems that are supposed to catch it — because no one has yet built the connective tissue between them.

 

We are that connective tissue.  We are the fascia. Present everywhere, invisible when working, essential to movement — holding the space between systems so that nothing grinds, nothing tears, and no one falls through.
