Meet Lorie Michaels:
Mentor, Educator, Doula, Advocate

Supporting families and doulas with compassionate, inclusive, evidence-based care.

I believe birthwork changes lives — not just for parents and babies, but for the doulas and birth professionals who walk alongside them. My journey into this work has been shaped by many roles: healer, bodyworker, Army veteran, doula, childbirth educator, and mentor. Each experience, both challenging and joyful, has deepened my ability to support others with compassion, skill, and humility.

For Families

Welcoming a baby is one of life’s biggest transitions, and you don’t have to walk it alone. Through Namaste Birth, I provide compassionate, inclusive care tailored to your family’s needs. From birth and postpartum doula support to bodywork, classes, placenta services, and coaching, my goal is to help you feel prepared, supported, and confident every step of the way.

For Doulas

Supporting families is meaningful work — and it’s even more powerful when you feel confident, prepared, and connected. Through the BirthPro Doula Mastery & Mentoring Collective, I offer mentorship, specialized trainings, business foundations, and peer support to help you grow a sustainable practice and thrive as both a doula and a leader.

Beyond my work, I love coastal life in New England, spending time with my family, and honoring the balance of adventure and grounding. I recently returned to my New England roots after living aboard a small sailboat in the Caribbean — always with big dogs at my side!
