Free Childbirth Prep: Physiology for a Smoother Labor

Oct 03 2-4pm

Rochambeau Library

708 Hope Street Providence, RI 02906

Next up in the series: how your body is built to move through labor, and simple ways to help it along. We'll cover the physiology behind a smoother labor, hands-on Spinning Babies-informed techniques, and massage work you can practice with a partner or support person (or on your own).

Expect movement. We'll be on the floor and on our feet, trying things out together, so wear something comfy you can move in and skip eating for at least an hour beforehand.

Bring a yoga mat and birth ball if you have them. We'll have extras on hand if not.

Free and open to anyone in the community. Registration isn't required to attend, but it helps me plan for the room, so an RSVP is appreciated if you know you're coming.
