Hi, I’m Heidi Terpening, founder of Azure Coast Doula, LLC.

For the past 27 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for families in a variety of nursing roles, including maternal-child health, NICU, labor and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics, and community health.

My passion for supporting families led me to become a Certified Full Spectrum Doula and Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, allowing me to provide compassionate, personalized support throughout the reproductive journey.

I’m the proud mom of three amazing adult children, and family is at the center of everything I do. Outside of work, I love traveling, photography, and making memories with the people I love. My travels—especially along Croatia’s beautiful Adriatic coast—inspired the name Azure Coast Doula and the calm, supportive approach I bring to every client.

I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered. It is truly an honor to walk alongside my clients with compassion, empathy, and unwavering support as they navigate pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.
