Birthing Gently was established in 2002 as Boston’s first doula agency by founder Tara Campbell, CD(DONA),BDT(DONA),LCCE

Our practice provides an unbiased and professional approach during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum period. Your needs will be accommodated to create a personal and unique experience. Our team is dedicated to providing you with care based on the most current ACOG and AAP evidence-based guidelines and research.

At Birthing Gently, we believe in the power of informed choice and evidence-based care. Our mission is to provide compassionate support and advocacy for families during the perinatal period. We believe every family deserves the information, resources, and support they need to have a positive and empowering birth experience. Our doulas are trained to provide emotional support, physical comfort measures, and advocacy during labor and birth. We also offer prenatal education, lactation support, and postpartum care to help families navigate the challenges and joys of early parenthood. ​

We are proud to be a part of the Mass General Brigham United Against Racism Project and to actively work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system. We are committed to raising awareness about disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes and to advocating for policies that promote health equity for all families. ​ ​
